2 Day "Evita" Melbourne Tour

DAY 1 (D) ALBURY – MELBOURNE SATURDAY 2ND FEBRUARY, 2019
Welcome aboard Martins Touring Coach for departure from Lavington Centro, Griffith Road at 6.45am, Albury Rail 7.00am and Wodonga Plaza Smythe Street 7.15am and Wangaratta Outdoor Pool Swan Street 7.45am for our mid week two day tour to Melbourne featuring a very special performance of the musical Evita.
Travel via the Hume Freeway to Euroa for comfort stop and morning tea and then onto Melbourne. We have some free time to purchase an early lunch, (passengers own expense) before we arrive at The Arts Centre, State Theatre for our matinee performance of Evita.
EVITA charts the story of Eva Peron, wife of Argentine dictator Juan Peron, from her humble beginnings through to the extraordinary wealth, power and status which ultimately led her to be heralded as the ‘spiritual leader of the nation’ by the Argentine people.Featuring some of the best loved songs in musical theatre, including Don’t Cry For Me Argentina, On This Night of a Thousand Stars, Oh What A Circus, You Must Love Me, and Another Suitcase in Another Hall, this smash hit show truly promises to be THE THEATRICAL EVENT OF THE YEAR!
After a truly amazing performance, we rejoin the coach at 5.45pm for transfer to another highlight of our tour. Spend the evening in style aboard the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant for a unique and unforgettable experience. Dining is not only a culinary delight, but a trip into a little piece of Melbourne’s history.

DAY 2 (B) MELBOURNE – ALBURY SUNDAY 3RD FEBRUARY
After a leisurely breakfast, pack your belongings and jump on board and enjoy some free time. Visit the famous Queen Victoria Markets – Australia’s largest open air Market in the Southern Hemisphere. This is a vast and vibrant centre of trade and commerce. Traders sell everything from exotic Australian fruit and vegetables, local and imported gourmet foods, meat, fish and poultry to hardware, manchester, clothing and authentic Australian artefacts and souvenirs.
Our next visit is to ArtVo, a new immersive art gallery or ‘trick art’ gallery – the first of its kind in Australia. Unlike normal art museums, visitors are encouraged to touch and interact with the artworks, photographing themselves and becoming part of the art. With over 11 themed zones to explore, each featuring their own incredible hand painted artworks which cascade directly from the walls to the floors, the possibilities for your imagination are endless. Immerse yourself into different scenes, locations and famous paintings. 14 artists with over 40 years’ experience completed in excess of 100 hand painted artworks in just 60 days. Depart Docklands for return home stopping enroute for a short break arriving Wangaratta (approx. 5.00pm), Wodonga (approx. 5.45pm), Albury (approx 6.00pm), Lavington (approx. 6.15pm).
